Traineeships

B Walker and Company has a traineeship program designed to allow students to study while gaining valuable practical skills through working in an accounting environment.

Traineeship Structure

Students are required to complete six years of study in the Bachelor of Commerce Program.

During university semesters traineeship students are to:

• Enrol in 2 courses per semester
• Work 5 days per week for Walker and Company
• Receive 2 days paid study leave as well as 1 day paid exam leave per subject studied

Payment

B Walker and Company traineeship students receive remuneration based on the NSW Clerks Award depending on their age. Subsequent wage increases will be based on performance.

Criteria

HSC results are an important factor along with the demonstration of personal skills such as leadership, inventiveness, motivation, aptitude, communication and the potential to make a contribution to the accounting/finance profession.
