B Walker and Company helped Icon to clarify and organise management and staff roles. We helped set KPIs and revamped their bookkeeping to accurately record business performance.

By reviewing their pricing and debtor processes we ensured sufficient cash flow for further business growth.

Our international tax expertise supported the company's launch of UK and New Zealand offices and we helped them meet Australian reporting requirements.

By building on the strong foundations we helped them establish, Icon has recently grown even more quickly, expanding to five countries. They are now advised by an international accounting group with offices in all of those locations.

Brown Sugar

Sweetening success: Converting from a company to a trust helped the owners of Brown Sugar, a thriving Warner's Bay restaurant, to achieve great advantages.

Kokum Day Spa

B Walker and Company to assess the operation and assist in negotiations.

Our due diligence revealed that the business was substantially overvalued by the seller. As a result, our client purchased the business for 60% less than the asking price.

We reviewed legal contracts to ensure that the purchase was free from GST and that prepaid customer deposits and gift vouchers were deducted from the purchase price.

Even though the new owners were purchasing an existing business, we helped them with services similar to those we provide on business start-ups. For example, we restructured the spa business to protect the new owners' personal and business assets and to minimise annual tax and future tax on the sale of the business.

Our client was poised for success after buying the business at the right price and on the best possible terms, with a new structure to improve their immediate and long-term prospects.
